STS

Privacy Policy

Effective: April 2, 2026 · support@stockstraderservice.com

1. Overview

Stock Trader Service (“STS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our platform at stockstraderservice.com.

By using STS you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

The only Personally Identifiable Information (PII) STS collects is your email address. No other PII is collected, stored, or processed.

Email address: Used solely for authentication and, for registered traders, to send daily pick digests and operational alerts. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties.

Portfolio and tracker data: Stock tickers you add to your Watchlist and Tracker are stored associated with your account. These are ticker symbols only — no financial account numbers, balances, or brokerage credentials are collected or stored.

AI interactions: Questions you submit via the “Ask Cleopatra” feature are sent to the Anthropic API. No PII is included in these transmissions.

Usage data: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) are collected for security and debugging. These are not linked to your identity beyond your session.

Analytics: Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data via cookies. No PII is transmitted to Google Analytics. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate your access to the Platform (email only)
  • To send daily pick digests and strategy alerts (registered traders only)
  • To power AI analysis features via the Anthropic API (no PII transmitted)
  • To monitor Platform health, security, and performance

We do not use your email for advertising. We do not sell or share your data with any third party.

4. AI Processing — Anthropic (Claude)

STS uses Claude, an AI model developed by Anthropic, PBC, to generate stock analysis and respond to user questions. When you use AI-powered features:

  • Your question or input is transmitted to the Anthropic API over an encrypted connection
  • Anthropic processes the input and returns a response
  • Anthropic may log API calls in accordance with their own data policies

We recommend reviewing Anthropic’s Privacy Policy for details on how they handle data submitted via the API.

We do not submit personally identifiable information to the Anthropic API. Your email address — the only PII on the Platform — is never transmitted to Anthropic.

5. Data Storage and Security

Platform data is stored in:

  • Google Workspace (cloud tables) — daily stock picks, tracker data, scorecard, performance history, and AI analysis logs; automated backend processing
  • Neon PostgreSQL (encrypted cloud database) — user accounts (email, auth provider, subscription status), personal Watchlist tickers, Stop Loss / Take Profit thresholds, AI signal cache, AI cost log, and system health snapshots
  • Vercel serverless infrastructure — API routes and web application hosting (US region)

We implement reasonable technical safeguards including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access-controlled APIs with secret keys, and restricted table access. However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

6. IRS Reporting and Financial Data

No financial transaction data is collected or stored. STS is an informational research platform, not a broker-dealer or financial intermediary. Portfolio tickers you enter on the Platform are personal tracking notes — they are not trade confirmations, brokerage records, or financial account data.

No IRS reporting. STS does not report any information about you or your investment activity to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), any US state tax authority, or any international tax authority. We hold no financial transaction data to report.

No 1099 forms. STS will not issue Form 1099-B, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, or any other IRS information return to any user. Your broker — not STS — issues your investment tax documents.

You are solely responsible for your own tax reporting on any investment activity. STS recommends consulting a qualified tax professional for advice specific to your situation.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Portfolio and tracker data you add is stored in tables and retained indefinitely unless you delete it. System logs and status snapshots are retained for up to 90 days. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@stockstraderservice.com.

8. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

  • Session cookie: Used for authentication. Required for the Platform to function.
  • Preference cookies: Store your theme, font size, and accent colour preferences (localStorage). These stay on your device only.
  • Google Analytics cookies: Anonymised usage tracking (_ga, _gid). You can opt out via Google’s opt-out tool.

9. Third-Party Services

STS integrates with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

10. FDIC and Financial Institution Disclosures

STS is not a bank and is not FDIC-insured. STS is not a bank, savings association, credit union, or depository institution. STS is not regulated by the FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCC, or any banking regulator. STS does not hold, accept, or insure deposits. Subscription fees are payments for an information service — not deposits, investments, or funds held in custody.

Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Privacy Notice: To the extent STS qualifies as a “financial institution” under GLBA Title V, we confirm: the only nonpublic personal information we collect is your email address, used solely to provide the Platform; we do not share it with nonaffiliated third parties for marketing; we implement GLBA Safeguards Rule protections; and you have the right to opt out of any such sharing (none occurs). Contact support@stockstraderservice.com to exercise any GLBA opt-out right.

11. California Privacy Rights — CCPA, CPRA & All California Laws

CCPA / CPRA (effective Jan 1, 2023)

CalOPPA (Bus. & Prof. Code §22575)

This Privacy Policy is conspicuously posted and accessible at all times. We identify all categories of PII collected and third parties we share with. We honor Do Not Track signals to the extent technically feasible, though we do not track users across third-party websites.

Shine the Light Law (Civil Code §1798.83)

STS does not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing. California residents requesting a Shine the Light disclosure will be informed that no such sharing occurs. Contact support@stockstraderservice.com.

California Financial Information Privacy Act (SB 1 / Cal. Fin. Code §4050)

STS does not collect nonpublic personal financial information (no brokerage account numbers, investment balances, trade history, income, or net worth). We do not share any financial information with third parties for any purpose.

California Customer Consent

The only PII STS collects is your email address. By using STS, California residents expressly consent to: (1) collection of email address for authentication; (2) email digests if a registered trader — withdraw consent anytime; (3) anonymised usage data for security and Platform improvement (no PII); (4) AI query inputs sent to Anthropic’s API (no PII transmitted); (5) Google Analytics anonymised tracking — opt out anytime. Contact support@stockstraderservice.com to withdraw any consent.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. If a parent or guardian believes their child under 13 is using the Platform without consent, please contact us immediately at support@stockstraderservice.com and we will promptly delete any associated data.

Parents and guardians of users under 13 may review, request correction of, or request deletion of their child’s personal data by contacting us at any time.

14. Non-Discrimination and Global Access

STS is open to users of all ages and all countries. We do not discriminate in the collection, use, or processing of personal data based on age, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sex, race, ethnicity, national origin, country of residence, religion, disability, or any other characteristic. All users from all countries and all backgrounds are entitled to the same privacy protections and data rights under this policy.

California residents have the right to non-discrimination under the CCPA — we will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service to any user who exercises their privacy rights.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
