1. Overview
Stockstraderservice LLC, doing business as “STS LLC” (“STS LLC”, “STS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an Agentic AI platform delivering AI-curated stock research, picks, sentiment analysis, and portfolio guidance to retail investors via web dashboard and email digests. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our platform at stockstraderservice.com.
By using STS you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
The primary Personally Identifiable Information (PII) STS collects directly is your email address. We do not collect, store, or process financial account numbers, balances, or brokerage credentials.
Email address: Used solely for authentication and, for registered traders, to send daily pick digests and operational alerts. We do not sell or rent your email address. We share it only with the service providers described in Section 9 as needed to operate the Platform (for example, authentication, billing, and digest delivery).
Billing information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment card and billing details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe. STS does not receive or store your full card number. We receive limited billing metadata from Stripe (such as subscription status, plan, and card last4) needed to manage your account. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
Portfolio and tracker data: Stock tickers you add to your Watchlist and Tracker are stored associated with your account. These are ticker symbols only — no financial account numbers, balances, or brokerage credentials are collected or stored.
AI interactions: Questions you submit via the “Ask Cleopatra” feature are sent to the Anthropic API. No PII is included in these transmissions.
Usage data: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) are collected for security and debugging. These are not linked to your identity beyond your session.
Analytics: Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data via cookies, subject to the region-aware consent behavior described in Section 8. No PII is transmitted to Google Analytics. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your access to the Platform (email only)
- To send daily pick digests and strategy alerts (registered traders only)
- To power AI analysis features via the Anthropic API (no PII transmitted)
- To process subscription billing via Stripe
- To monitor Platform health, security, and performance
We do not use your email for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information. To operate the Platform, we share limited data with the service providers (processors) listed in Section 9 — for example, our database host, hosting provider, payment processor, and AI providers — under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations. This is ordinary service delivery necessary to run the Platform, not a sale or an unrestricted “share” of your data with third parties for their own independent use.
4. AI Processing — OpenRouter Gateway (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek)
STS uses third-party large language models (AI) — a mix of models from providers including OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), and DeepSeek (the specific model may change over time) — accessed through the OpenRouter API gateway, to generate stock analysis and respond to user questions. When you use AI-powered features:
- Your question or input is transmitted to the relevant AI provider’s API, via OpenRouter, over an encrypted connection
- The provider processes the input and returns a response
- OpenRouter and the underlying provider may log API calls in accordance with their own data policies
We recommend reviewing the OpenRouter, OpenAI, and Anthropic privacy policies for details on how they handle data submitted via their APIs.
We do not submit personally identifiable information to these APIs. Your email address — the primary PII on the Platform — is never transmitted to any AI provider.
5. Data Storage and Security
Platform data is stored primarily in:
- Neon PostgreSQL (encrypted cloud database, US region) — the primary system of record: user accounts (email, auth provider, subscription status), personal Watchlist tickers, Stop Loss / Take Profit thresholds, AI signal cache, AI cost log, daily stock picks, tracker and performance history, and system health snapshots
- Vercel serverless infrastructure — API routes and web application hosting (US region)
- Stripe — subscription and billing records (see Section 9)
A small number of internal backend operations may reference legacy Google Sheets for limited, non-primary operational tasks (e.g. historical scheduling references). These legacy sheets are not the system of record for user data, hold no independent copy of account PII, and are being phased out in favor of Neon.
We implement reasonable technical safeguards including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access-controlled APIs with secret keys, and restricted table access. However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
6. IRS Reporting and Financial Data
No financial transaction data is collected or stored. STS is an informational research platform, not a broker-dealer or financial intermediary. Portfolio tickers you enter on the Platform are personal tracking notes — they are not trade confirmations, brokerage records, or financial account data.
No IRS reporting. STS does not report any information about you or your investment activity to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), any US state tax authority, or any international tax authority. We hold no financial transaction data to report.
No 1099 forms. STS will not issue Form 1099-B, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, or any other IRS information return to any user. Your broker — not STS — issues your investment tax documents.
You are solely responsible for your own tax reporting on any investment activity. STS recommends consulting a qualified tax professional for advice specific to your situation.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Portfolio and tracker data you add is stored in Neon and retained indefinitely unless you delete it. System logs and status snapshots are retained for up to 90 days. Billing records are retained by Stripe and by STS as needed to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@stockstraderservice.com.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and localStorage for authentication, preferences, and — where permitted — analytics. This section summarizes our practices; see our full Cookie Policy for details, categories, and how to manage your preferences.
- Session cookie: Used for authentication. Required for the Platform to function; not subject to opt-out.
- Preference cookies: Store your theme, font size, and accent colour preferences (localStorage). These stay on your device only.
- Google Analytics cookies: Anonymised usage tracking (_ga, _gid).
Region-aware behavior: If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics cookies are opt-in — they load only after you affirmatively consent via the cookie banner. Elsewhere, analytics cookies load by default and you may opt out at any time via the Cookie settings link in the site footer or Google’s opt-out tool. If we cannot determine your region, we default to the stricter opt-in behavior.
9. Third-Party Services
STS integrates with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- OpenRouter — AI model gateway (routes prompts to model providers): openrouter.ai/privacy
- Anthropic — AI model API: anthropic.com/legal/privacy
- Stripe — Payment processing and subscription billing: stripe.com/privacy
- Google — OAuth sign-in and Analytics: policies.google.com/privacy
- Vercel — Hosting and serverless: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Neon — PostgreSQL database: neon.tech/privacy-policy
- Finnhub — Market data API: data is fetched server-side only; no user data is sent to this service
- FMP (Financial Modeling Prep) — Market data API: data is fetched server-side only; no user data is sent to this service
These providers act as our service providers/processors under applicable law. We do not sell your personal information to any of them, and we do not permit them to use your data for their own independent marketing purposes.
10. FDIC and Financial Institution Disclosures
STS is not a bank and is not FDIC-insured. STS is not a bank, savings association, credit union, or depository institution. STS is not regulated by the FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCC, or any banking regulator. STS does not hold, accept, or insure deposits. Subscription fees are payments for an information service — not deposits, investments, or funds held in custody.
Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Privacy Notice: To the extent STS qualifies as a “financial institution” under GLBA Title V, we confirm: the nonpublic personal information (NPI) we collect is limited to your email address and the billing metadata described in Section 2 — subscription status, plan, and card last4, received from our payment processor, Stripe (STS never receives your full card number) — each used solely to provide the Platform; we do not share this NPI with nonaffiliated third parties for marketing; we implement GLBA Safeguards Rule protections; and you have the right to opt out of any such sharing (none occurs). Contact support@stockstraderservice.com to exercise any GLBA opt-out right.
11. California Privacy Rights — CCPA, CPRA & All California Laws
Notice at Collection (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.100)
At or before the point we collect personal information — for example, when you create an account or subscribe — we collect the following categories: identifiers (email address, account and authentication identifiers), internet or network activity (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps), and, if you subscribe, commercial information processed by Stripe on our behalf (subscription and plan status). We collect these categories to provide, secure, and improve the Platform, authenticate your account, and — for subscribers — manage billing and deliver digests. Each category is sourced directly from you (or, for billing metadata, from Stripe on your behalf) and retained per Section 7. We do not sell or share any of these categories.
CCPA / CPRA (effective Jan 1, 2023)
California residents have the following rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA:
- Right to Know (§1798.100): Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, our business purpose, and the third parties we share it with.
- Right to Delete (§1798.105): Request deletion of your personal information (subject to limited legal exceptions).
- Right to Correct (§1798.106 — CPRA): Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing (§1798.120): We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Confirm this or submit a request via our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
- Right to Limit Sensitive Personal Information (§1798.121 — CPRA): STS does not collect sensitive personal information (SSN, financial accounts, biometrics, precise geolocation). The main PII collected directly by STS is your email address.
- Right to Data Portability (§1798.100(d)): Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Right to Non-Discrimination (§1798.125): We will not deny services, charge different prices, or retaliate for exercising any CCPA/CPRA right.
- Minor opt-in: We do not sell information of users under 16. Users under 13 require verifiable parental consent (COPPA).
We respond to verified CCPA/CPRA requests within 45 days. Submit requests via our Do Not Sell or Share page or by emailing support@stockstraderservice.com with subject “California Privacy Request.”
CalOPPA (Bus. & Prof. Code §22575)
This Privacy Policy is conspicuously posted and accessible at all times. We identify all categories of PII collected and the service providers we share it with. We honor Do Not Track signals to the extent technically feasible, though we do not track users across third-party websites.
Shine the Light Law (Civil Code §1798.83)
STS does not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing. California residents requesting a Shine the Light disclosure will be informed that no such sharing occurs. Contact support@stockstraderservice.com.
California Financial Information Privacy Act (SB 1 / Cal. Fin. Code §4050)
STS does not collect nonpublic personal financial information (no brokerage account numbers, investment balances, trade history, income, or net worth). We do not share this category of financial information with third parties for their own independent use.
California Customer Consent
The main PII STS collects directly is your email address (billing details, where applicable, are collected by Stripe — see Section 2). By using STS, California residents expressly consent to: (1) collection of email address for authentication; (2) email digests if a registered trader — withdraw consent anytime; (3) anonymised usage data for security and Platform improvement (no PII); (4) AI query inputs sent to Anthropic’s API (no PII transmitted); (5) Google Analytics tracking subject to the region-aware consent described in Section 8 — opt out anytime. Contact support@stockstraderservice.com to withdraw any consent.
